A website for tradies.

Fast, mobile-first, and built to rank — a website for tradies that turns visitors into enquiries, not just something that looks okay on a desktop screen.

Crowncon — a custom home builder in Bayside — needed a website that matched the quality of their builds, not a template with their logo on it. Here's what shipped.

Pricing on every website — you know the full cost before we start, not after the bill arrives

Most websites for tradies don't work. They load slowly on mobile, put a phone number three scrolls down the page, use stock photos, and have no suburb-specific content. A customer searching "plumber Cheltenham" lands on a page that feels generic and leaves to call someone else.

A website built for a trade business has one job: convert a visitor into an enquiry or a call. That means your phone number is visible before the page fully loads. It means your service area is clearly stated. It means your reviews are front and centre. It means the page loads in under two seconds on a phone.

I build tradie websites hand-coded, mobile-first, and with local SEO baked in from the start — not added as an afterthought. Every site includes suburb-targeted pages, proper schema markup, a Google Business Profile setup guide and copywriting that sounds like a real person wrote it. Because I did. I'm Melbourne-based, but I build websites for tradies right across Australia — same fixed pricing and process, wherever your job sites are.

Your website is your hardest-working employee. It should be generating enquiries at 11pm on a Sunday, not just confirming your ABN exists.

(01)  What a properly built site includes

Five things every tradie site needs.

Most tradie websites fail not because of bad design — but because they're missing the basics that turn a visitor into a call.

01

Your phone number above the fold

A customer on their phone should be able to tap to call without scrolling. This single change lifts conversion more than any design update. If it's not the first thing they see, you're losing jobs.

02

Suburb-specific pages

A builder in Cheltenham and a builder in Frankston need different pages. Google serves local results. Your site needs dedicated pages for every suburb you target, each with real content about working in that area.

03

Fast load on mobile

Over 80% of local searches happen on phones. If your site takes 4 seconds to load on mobile, half your visitors have already left. Every site I build scores 90+ on Google PageSpeed on mobile.

04

Real trust signals

Google reviews displayed on your site, real job photos (not stock images), licence and insurance numbers, and customer names. Hesitant customers need evidence. A professional-looking site isn't enough on its own.

05

One clear call to action

Call now, or submit a quote request. Not both. Not three. Pick the action most likely to generate a conversation and make every page point to it. Confused visitors don't convert.

(02)  What's included

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

A complete website delivery — not a template handed over with a "you'll need to update it yourself" note.

01

Design & build

Custom designed and hand-coded. Mobile-first. Fast load times. No page builder, no WordPress bloat, no security vulnerabilities baked in.

02

Local SEO setup

Title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup, NAP consistency and Google Business Profile integration — done at build, not bolted on later.

03

Copywriting

I write the copy. Every page, every service description, every suburb page — in a voice that sounds like a real business, not a template generator.

04

Suburb pages

Dedicated, unique pages for your key service areas — not copy-pasted templates with the suburb name swapped out. Real content that ranks.

(03)  Why tradie sites don't convert

The five reasons sites don't ring phones.

These aren't design problems. They're structural problems — and they're fixable.

The phone number is buried

If a customer has to look for your number, they'll find a competitor who made it easier. On mobile, your number should be one tap away from the moment the page loads.

It's not mobile-friendly

Built to look good on a laptop, broken on a phone. Most local searches happen on mobile. If your site doesn't load and display correctly on a small screen, you're invisible to the majority of your market.

No suburb targeting

Google ranks local results based on relevance to the searcher's location. A generic page won't beat a competitor with dedicated suburb pages. You need pages that mention Cheltenham, Mentone, Mordialloc — specifically.

No social proof

A customer who doesn't know you needs a reason to trust you. Reviews, real job photos, client names. A slick website without evidence just looks like a front. Reviews are your most powerful conversion tool.

WordPress and plugin overload

WordPress sites built with page builders are slow, bloated and constantly require updates to stay secure. A hand-coded site has none of that overhead — and outperforms on every speed metric.

Questions

The things people ask before they call.

How is a tradie website priced?

A tradie website at Beets & Co is scoped to your business — from a clean, well-built single-service site through to a full brand + website package. All pricing is fixed — no hourly billing, no surprise invoices.

How long does it take to build a tradie website?

Most tradie websites are live within 2–4 weeks from sign-off. The timeline depends on how quickly we get your content (photos, copy, service info) sorted. I write the copy, so that's not a bottleneck on your end.

Will my tradie website rank on Google?

Every website I build includes foundational local SEO — proper title tags, schema markup, suburb-targeted service pages, Google Business Profile optimisation advice and fast load speeds. That said, ranking on Google takes time and ongoing effort. I build the right foundation — ranking above your competitors is the result of consistent SEO and review activity after launch.

What's included in a website for tradies from Beets & Co?

A custom hand-coded design and build, local SEO setup (title tags, meta descriptions, schema markup, Google Business Profile integration), copywriting for every page, and dedicated suburb pages for your key service areas — delivered as a complete, live website, not a template you're left to finish yourself.

Do you build websites for tradies outside Melbourne?

Yes. While most of my work is with Bayside and South East Melbourne trade businesses, I build websites for tradies Australia-wide. The same fixed-price, fast-load, local-SEO-first approach applies wherever you're based — the suburb and service-area content is simply built around your actual patch instead of Melbourne's.
